What: Report from Pew/Internet
When: Dec 2006
Link: http://www.pewinternet.org/pdfs/PIP_Robocalls06.pdf
MV Reading Notes:
64% of registered voters received robo-calls in final 2 months of 2006 election. 2nd most popular way for campaigns to reach voters (behind direct mail: 71%). 24% received a call from a human. 18% visited at home. 14% received email.
Those more likely to vote were contacted more often, including those over 30.
MV Thoughts:
Missed opportunity in contacting young people. Robo calls unlikely to make a difference and have a very high cost – find the study that shows this fact.
