Why do we use the term "global warming" and "climate change"? Who came up with these terms? Was it the same person who decided to call the War in Iraq "War on Terrorism" so as to make it sound more noble?
These climate words are too tepid. Global warming sounds like something you'd enjoy doing apres ski near a nice fire with some mould wine. Howabout "Climate Destruction" or "Climate Collapse"? Those are much more appropriate and could drive the mass mindshare in the right direction. What makes someone give up their Hummer? It certainly isn't a dire warning about cuddling next to warm fire after a day in the cold.
