Predictions for ’06 non-profit technology are assessed according to specificity and accuracy. Some of the most notable include:

- We’ll see a shakeout in the nonprofit ASP field, including mergers and acquisitions. (rated as didn’t happen)

- Fundraising online will grow to over 50% of non-major donations for charitable and public interest organizations. (rated as specific and partially true)

- There’ll be more of a focus on business tactics and processes, as technology becomes more of a commodity. (rated accurate and significant)

- The Web 2.0 bubble will burst. (rated as too early to tell).

- Nonprofits will continue to adopt Web 2.0 tools such as Wikis, blogs, RSS feeds, and social
tagging. (rated as a hedge)

 Predictions which were too vague and didn’t take a position that could be wrong were considered to be a “hedge” and received particular disdain from the critic, Jason Z.
