Reading Notes:
questions web2.0 for its own sake:
"But ultimately, non-profits live or die on one thing: “It’s the clients, stupid!” If our clients aren’t better served by our whizbang gizmos, then Nonprofit 2.0 is just another silly notion."
need to focus on an org's mission (social service). that's getting lost.
states that a technologically enabled workforce can serve clients more efficiently. eg: even if the client is homeless people - with little access to tech - they can be served by an org effectively using tech. this is what nonprofit2.0 means to him.
tip list:
* IT guys in a nonprofit have to do more than IT - have to implement from a strategic alignment with the org's mission
* beware of adding too much extra workload with a 'new solution'
* understand change management requirements inherent with implementing a new tech
* new tech can't be harder to use than the old way
